Until GIMP come along making a picture transparency is a very time comsuming effort! One of the old paint program that let you erase to transparency but it is hard to find now a day!
Here GIMP comes to the rescue! There easy steps when use GIMP 2.2.13:
. First, on the menu bar, pick "Layer", "Transparency", then "Add Alpha Channel" (Note: The most important step, otherwise it won't work!)
. Next on the menu bar, pick "Select", "By Color", then click on the color you want to clear to transparency.
. Last on the menu bar, pick "Edit" then "Clear"
Now when you save the file, it will be a transparency picture!
I have been trailing framework in general and specially CakePHP for a few years until recently I settle on CakePHP as my prefer framework to do web development.
I start my little notes on the resources that I found along the way that have anything to do with CakePHP but the list is getting too long!
I will post my list here first will help me keep track of them and hopefully will help others that also looking for CakePHP resources.
The list will be organized into sections as I collect them and prune them as need.
I welcome your feedback addition or removal from my list!
I have spent too much time and get confused at time when switching between mod_rewrite on and off when testing with Cake.
So I come up with a little shortcut to help me and I hope this will help others as well!
